With Prom season in full swing it's easy to quickly get overwhelmed. While the main event this year is hosted at the Mile High Stadium, After Prom will be located back at Chaparral High School. After Prom is where the party begins, with endless supply of your favorite treats along the exciting bouncy castles.

After Prom is full of excitement with prize-filled raffles, photo booths, and special surprises. While Chaparral’s Prom can be a financial burden to some, no student should choose to not attend After Prom due to financial reasons. Mrs. Frahm in the main office explained, “The main thing this year is we want every kid that wants to go to After Prom have the option to.”  There are multiple scholarship opportunities to obtain for After Prom tickets. Parent volunteers are selling t-shirts and other accessories to help raise money for those in need of financial assistance. After Prom was initially made for everyone to come, regardless of whether or not students attend the dance.

This year After Prom is open to the community from 7:00-8:30 PM, inviting all the feeder schools to the event before Chaparral students arrive after they return from Prom. While this year’s theme still remained a surprise, senior Bridget Larkin raved about last year’s Colorado theme. “Last year the commons, cafeteria, and gym became unrecognizable,” she said.

Numerous parent volunteers have contributed mass amounts of time and effort to ensure that After Prom is an exciting and safe place to be for all of the students at Chaparral. Remember After Prom has something for everyone and is open and welcoming for everyone to attend.
