Ingredients for a full batch (about 5 dozen cookies):
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375℉
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together until it is creamy.
Step 3: Add eggs one at a time (beat well after each addition).
Step 4: Add 1 cup of flour, all of the baking soda, and all of the salt and stir in gradually until you can’t see the flour mixture anymore. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl, then add the last 1 ¼ cups of flour in and stir in gradually once more.
Step 5: Pour in the chocolate chips and stir them until they are evenly distributed among the dough.
Step 6: Eat the cookie dough!
Step 7: Drop spoonfuls of dough evenly apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Baking Instructions: Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. This is based on cooking the raw ingredients but it is also based on what you prefer. Cool the cookies on wire racks and enjoy!!!
