Friday, May 6th Chaparral Boys Lacrosse competed against Grandview High School in their last league game. Chaparral went in with a 7-2 league record, and Grandview went in with a 3-3 league record. Grandview, playing against the odds, beat Chaparral 11-7.

Going into halftime the score was 6-4, with Grandview in the lead. The Wolverines fought to tie the score, and the Wolves battled to defend their advantage. After four Grandview goals, and around 15 seconds left on the clock, in the third quarter, junior Trevor Orndoff dodged his opponent's and managed to score. Orndoff’s shot brought the score to 10-5 Grandview, after the third quarter. Grandview managed to score another goal in the fourth quarter, which was followed by two more Chaparral goals from junior Nichols Neff and senior Drew Doak. The Chaparral Wolverines tried to catch up, however the clock ran out, leading to a win for the Wolves.

This was Chaparral Boys Lacrosse’s last league game. However fans can still cheer on Chaparral Boys Lacrosse at their first playoff game, Wednesday, May 11th at the Cherry Creek Stadium against the Cherry Creek Bruins.
